The Data Factor

The missing economics piece identifies data-as-production-factor as one of the five gaps. Companies with proprietary data (Bloomberg, John Deere, Epic Systems) already charge subscription fees for access to continuously updated datasets. The step from "data subscription" to "data rental priced by query volume and freshness" is small, and the AI stack makes it natural.
